Daddy needs pull-ups?

The other day, James’ bike broke down… so Bella and I drove over to where his bike was down and when we got there, I rolled the window down and asked him if he needed me to get anything from the house for him so he could fix it… like a phillips or anything? Bella heard me say phillips and she said “mommy, why does daddy need pull-ups?”. It was too funny, I told her that daddy needed a phillips screwdriver… not pull-ups. Well, we ended up going home and right before we pulled into the drive way, James calls me and I answered the phone on speakerphone and he said he fixed his bike! Bella heard him say it and when we hung up, she said “daddy fixed his bike with his pull-ups mom?”. AHHHHHH, I JUST LOVE HER!

Almost 7 MONTHS!!

I seriously can not believe how fast time is flying by! I am 27 weeks today!! I will be in my third trimester next week!! That is just insane to think about! I feel like I just found out I was pregnant with our little Ryder Patrick and now we are only 13 weeks away from meeting him!!

I haven’t been getting sick lately which is awesome! Besides the heart burn every once in awhile which is cured by the wonderful cherry flavored, chewy rolaids! My only complaint lately is my hips… oh boy, DO THEY EVER HURRRT! It’s usually towards the end of the day when I am waddling already and walking like I am 80 years old because they hurt too bad to stand up straight! Ohhh and BRAXTON HICKS! Blah! They SUCKK! I get them so much during the day, even when I am just sitting on my butt doing NOTHING! Ryder also likes to dig into my ribcage… it makes sitting down pretty darn uncomfortable!! I can’t believe how active he is… I have a feeling I am going to have my hands full with this little guy!

This week marks him at 2lbs now! It’s so exciting to know that just in 3 months, we will be a family of 4! Bella is so excited. Not a day goes by where she asks what her baby brother is doing… it’s so cute! Anytime I put my hand on my belly she asks “is my baby bruder moving?”. The other day, we were standing in line at Safeway and there was a little girl behind us with her mom, she was probably 5 or 6. Bella and the little girl kept staring at eachother and right before it was our turn to cash out, Bella looks at the little girl and puts both her hands on my belly, almost like she was showing off my belly! I thought it was sooo cute! She’s going to be an excellent big sister & such a big help to me! I can’t wait!!!

We have decided that his nursery will be done in trains! My dad has worked at the rail road since he was 17 years old so I kinda wanted to do it for my dad, since this is his first grandson It’s a pretty big deal to him! I can’t wait to start decorating. I have soo many ideas! I am going to do my maternity pictures at a train track & put some of the prints on his wall… and I also have some pretty rad pictures I have done of some trains & tracks so I will put those in black & white and also put those on his wall! I think we might put his name on the wall in a graffiti kind of lettering too! I don’t want the traditional “train nursery”. I don’t want it to be super colorful… I just want reds, black & a tan/khaki color, I think. I guess I better get started! I’m such a SLACKERRRR! haha!

I just recently pulled out my cd’s of pictures from when I was pregnant with Bella. It’s fun to compare week by week how big I was with her vs. now. I look pretty close to the same size, I think.

A visit to the E.R

So, first let me start by saying that Bella is not fully potty trained! Don’t judge! Sunday morning when Bella woke up, James changed her because she was completely soaked through her clothes… which was weird because she usually wakes up hardly wet or sometimes completely dry! Well, we left about an hour after that and were gone the entire day. All day she did not go potty! We got to my parents house around 4 and I asked her if she wanted to go potty & she said yes, I took her and then she refused to go once she sat on the toilet, which was weird because she ALWAYS goes at least a little when she sits on the potty. Soo… we stayed at my parents til about 8pm & she still had not went!! Started really freaking me out because she is my water baby, she drank water all day long!! Well, she woke up Monday morning, DRY!! So I called my mom immediately and asked her what the hell I am suppose to do, cause you know.. mom’s have all the answers! She asked to talk to Bella & convinced her to sit on the potty for her & she finally went!! I had to give her a few M&M’s for it but, I did not care.. I was willing to give her anything to pee! But, her pee was super dark colored! My mom said it could be because she held it so long but I still thought it was weird with as much water as she had been drinking. So, 2:30pm rolls around and she hadn’t went since she talked to my mom… we were at my doctor’s appointment & she said she had to go potty so we ran to the bathroom & she sat on the potty and she started screaming bloody murder, like she was in the worst pain EVER! It was horrible. So, I went back into the room & told my doc what happened cause he & everyone else heard her scream. He started freaking me out talking about it could be kidney infection from her holding it so long, ahhhhhhhhh…. just what I wanna hear! So, of course by the time we get home, it’s almost 4pm & her doc office won’t accept calls past 4pm so, what other option do we have since we can not wait!? EMERGENCY ROOM!!!

Luckily, the emergency room that we take her to is only about 5 mins away so it’s super convienent but who wants to sit & wait for hours with an almost 3 year old? Ya, not ME! But, we did it! We went in at about 5pm, got called at about 6 & they took her temp n weight, all that good stuff! She is 30lbs even. I can’t believe she is finally 30lbs, seems like she was at 28lbs for forever & this kid eats like a bird! They gave me a cup like I was really going to be able to catch her pee in that tiny cup so I asked for a bowl for the toilet! I took her in the bathroom, begged her, and bribed her with everything you can imagine to just potty in that bowl so they would not have to be mean to her like they were the last time she was at the E.R with a UTI! Well… she flat out refused! This instantly brought me to tears! I knew exactly what that meant… time for a catheter!

This is the worst part!!!! The nurse that was SUPER sweet was trying to tell Bella what they were going to do and Bella was like “no, I don’t want you to do that”…. and we finally had to force her down on the bed to lay on her back, and 5 people, including me had to hold her down. I have never seen Bella so upset in my life. Her face was purple, she was shaking, she was pinching me, kicking her legs, screaming to the top of her lungs…. god it was just awful!! It brought both the nurse & I to tears to see her like that. No child should ever have to go through that. And the worst part was she remembered them doing it to her the last time & kept telling me she didn’t want them to touch her butt I felt so bad! I didn’t want them to but I knew it was the only way she would get better!!

After it was over, the nurse brought her 2 cookies, juice, a popsicle and a teddy bear. And she just laid in my arms & cried… I cried with her. It broke my heart!! Finally she started to mellow out & asked if I would open her popsicle, which made me happy and she did not let go of that teddy bear the entire time we were there! We were sent over to the urgent care center which is right next door to the E.R to wait for our results. When they called our name, Bella started crying as we walked back into the room saying “I don’t want him to touch me”… I told her that if he touched her, that her daddy would kick his butt! Probably not something I should be teaching my kid but hey, it made her happy! Doc let her listen to her own heart beat, she loved that! He also gave her some sweet princess stickers! She was spoiled rotten by everyone & soaked it all up! So basically, it ended up being a real bad urinary tract infection! Thankfully it was caught now because it could’ve led to her kidneys! They gave us some stronger medicine than she took the last time & sent us on our way! We got home around 10pm, my baby was so pooped! She passed out the second we gave her the meds! I hope I never have to go through that again!!!!

Weekend events!

This weekend was awesome! Saturday we celebrated Bella’s best friend Lucas’ 3rd Birthday! They are only about 9 weeks apart and they are literally the best of friends! Lucas calls her “Lella”, how cute is that?? They see eachother every Thursday and every Weds night I always tell Bella who she is seeing when she wakes up the next day and she gets sooo excited! So, we went to a really big park out in Rocklin that we had never been to. There were sooo many kids there and it was so hard to keep track of where Bella was at all times but, I tried to not be so protective and just watch her as she went down the slides & such. She did so well by herself I was proud! She really liked Lucas’ new bike so I’m thinking it’s time to upgrade the trike for a big girl bike for her birthday!!

On Sunday, we washed my car, she wore her bikini, played in the sprinklers, played with the bubble maker, wrote on the drive way with chalk, ate popsicles & just relaxed with a big blanket in the grass! It was soo relaxing and I loved every minute of it!

So, I pretty much think my kid rocks at the whole “talking” thing… everyone once in awhile she will stutter when she gets super excited and just can’t put all her words together fast enough but, for the most part… I understand everything she says!

Lately, I’ve been writing down certain words she says that are just freaking hilarious! So, I will share a few of those with you!

Oak Milk = Oat Meal

Baby Soup = Bathing Suit

See Booty = Sleeping Beauty

Sho Munch = So Much (I loooove when she says this because it’s usually when she says “I love you mommy” and I say “I love you too” and she says… “sho munch” Ahh… just melts my mommy heart!

Lalabar = Granola Bar

Hungrin = Hungry

Flop Flops = Flip Flops

Grrr = Girl (Anytime she says our puppy is being a good girl… it usually sounds like “Lexi’s a good grrr”)

These are just some of my favorites! And the funniest part is, if we correct her and tell her the correct way to say these words, she will copy us and say it exactly how it’s suppose to be said… and then she will just revert back to her old way of saying it! Ahhh, I love my girl

21 Weeks!

Well, I haven’t updated this blog in FOR-EV-ERRR!

I’m having another baby! Bella is going to be a sister! His name is Ryder Patrick – which makes his initials RPM… how fitting for a little boy huh!? I love it!

This week marks me 21 weeks pregnant and I am loving it. He is sooo active now, I literally feel like he is doing flips and it’s such an awesome feeling. I didn’t feel Bella like this until 27 weeks so this is a bit earlier than I had expected. Every morning Bella puts her head on my belly and snuggles me while she is still trying to wake up… and Ryder moves like crazy. It’s so cute watching Bella react to him kicking her in the head lol.. and she always greets me in the morning by saying “Hi mommy, Hi Ryder”… ahh! It melts my heart!

This pregnancy has been EXTREMELY different than my pregnancy with Bella… I never got sick with Bella and with this one, any little thing can trigger me to barf. Mainly if I cough too hard or when I am brushing my teeth and gag, yep… that sets it off. I get heart burn practically every night… I never go to bed without a water bottle & my bottle of tums next to the bed. And my bladder? Holy weakness it’s like the size of a peanut! I have been waking up about 2 times a night since I was 13 weeks… it’s insane! That rarely happened to me with Bella until about the very last couple of weeks but I literally feel like I go pee on the hour! I do drink a crazy amount of water because I constantly feel dehydrated so I guess that’s why! lol Headaches are crazy, like one minute I can feel a little pressure and then all of a sudden it’s in my eyes and I just want to lay down. It really sucks when I have them bad because I will be laying down and I go to stand up & get uber dizzy… blah! Allergies suck too! Every morning I wake up feeling like I have a head cold. But, my cervix is still holding strong!! I am praying that it continues to stay strong and no bed rest will be needed. I got put on bed rest at 24 weeks with Bella and was told that I had an “incompetant cervix”… but, my doc says that every pregnancy is different so, fingers crossed he is right and this little guy will be carried full term like his sister but, without strict bed rest!

I have only gained about 4lbs but my belly is growing so fast!! My biggest cravings are green grapes, apples, orange juice & rainbow sherbert! Oh, and I could eat mexican food everyday if I had no self control… pretty much the same cravings I had with Bella except I didn’t want apples or orange juice quite as much. I literally eat an apple a day! Sometimes two

So yesterday, the weather was beautiful! So, we decided to go to Fairy Tale Town… Bella LOVED IT. The entire way there she said “We’re going to faiwy tale town mama?” And I would reply… “yes, Bella, we are” and then 2 minutes later… she would said “We’re going to faiwy tale town mama?” and well… you get the hint, she did this the whole 20 minute drive there. Fun stuff. But, my reason for this post… absolute cuteness right here. Are you ready for this? We’re driving, listening to music… talkin… and all of a sudden Bella says “Look mama, the sun is working again!!”. And then James asked what she said, I repeated it… and then she said “its not broken!”. How STINKIN cute is that? I just had to share! I love the way she thinks! Here are a few pics from our fun day!

4 months until… THREE YEARS OLD!

Yeah, that’s pretty freaking crazy to even think about… my child is almost three! That is just mind boggling to even think she isn’t a baby anymore… even though I will ALWAYS call her my baby! haha… yep, I’m one of THOSE moms!! I have to admit, even though this age is tough… I absolutely LOVE knowing exactly what she wants, at all times…. no more mumbling things, pretending she knows what she is saying… it’s legit, she KNOWS what she is saying! We have soo many special moments we share together since we are with eachother all day, every day! But, my most FAVORITE part of the entire day is when we wake up and she spends the first hour of our morning, snuggling me! And sometimes, I can get her to fall back asleep! This kid LOOOOVES sleep… she is SO my child! We go about our day with hardly any routine, if we wake up late… she doesn’t get a nap and goes to bed early… if she wakes up early, she takes a 2-3 hour nap & then hangs out with us until we decide it’s time for bed. And, please feel free to judge because I don’t care

I am SO excited that spring is almost here, finally! Bella’s new favorite thing to do is hunt for lady bugs… and let me tell ya, the girl is GOOD! She can spot one in seconds! Her bug catcher is full of probably about 30-40 lady bugs… no joke. And call me a murderer but, I’ve tried to set them free at night… I put the little bug house outside & open their cage… and then go check on them in the morning and they are still there!! I’m like… HELLOOO… LEAVE WHILE YOU HAVE THE CHANCE! It’s probably because I have made their house so cool with little dandelions & roses… they are in heaven, and they are beating the rain! Haha. So tomorrow, I will probably let some free since it’s suppose to be a nice day, Bella won’t have a clue! haha

Anyway… I am going to wrap it up with some of my favorite things that Bella does or says!

*Singing… oh my, the kid has some vocals! She knows just about every nursery rhyme & lullaby you can think of. I swear, I teach her it once & she just remembers it… and even if she doesn’t know the words… she sure has the tune right! My FAVORITE is twinkle twinkle!

*When I give her any kind of goody… fruit snacks, capri sun,grapes etc… she always let’s me have the first bite or drink! Isn’t that awesome? My kid totally shares with no hesitation! Yeah, I’m proud!

*She has NO PROBLEM sharing toys! In fact, kids punk her for toys & she just lets them have them! I don’t want to teach her to be mean and take them back but, maybe I should teach her to tell them “I am playing with that right now”. I feel awful when I see her playing with something & someone takes it away & she just moves on to the next toy! Crazy because this is a kid that hasn’t been in child care for the past year… that would be another pat on my back if you didn’t catch on!

*When she is struggling with something, in example: putting a puzzle together or trying to get her bike out of the play room but, having issues with getting it through those darn doors… I will ask her if she wants me to help her and she replies with “no, I do it myself!” Miss. Independent!

*Bella has NEVER had a issue being in the car seat… which, I absolutely love! We can be out & about all day and when it’s time to get back in the car, she climbs right in & let’s me buckle her up without an issue! Sometimes she even falls asleep! Maybe it’s the cool “Little People” cd I play on repeat!! Yeah, annoying but… I love hearing her sing, remember?

*She LOVES her picture taken! This is a HUGE deal because let’s face it, how many kids her age like to have pictures taken of them every day of their life? I’ve cut back quite a bit & don’t neccessarily take a picture every day but when I do whip out the camera… she has no problem saying “cheese mama”

*Her manners are just AMAZING… please, thank you, sorry, no thank you, bless you… yeah, just pure awesomeness! But, her newest thing is telling me she is sorry when I say “owe”… I always have to tell her that she doesn’t have to say sorry if she didn’t do anything wrong. I don’t think she quite understands that part yet.

*I looooooove how she snuggles her daddy every evening before bed. He lays on the couch while we watch our dvr’d shows & she gets on top of him & lays her head on his chest… and he proceeds to rub her back which in fact, makes her extremely spoiled and expects her back rubbed everytime she lays with me now too! Negatory!

*She chooses water over juice!! What child doesn’t want some ice cold apple juice in the mornings? That is, if they refuse to drink milk like my kid… yeah… well Bella would rather have WATER! What? I know! But, it makes this mama very happy…

*Out of nowhere… she will come visit me in the living room from being in her play room, and come give me a kiss & tell me she loves me! Sometimes I will even get an eskimo or butterfly kiss also! So sweet! It just melts my mama heart like nothing else!!!

And I suppose I could go on all day about how rad in fact my BABY is… but, I won’t. I will end this post with a few pictures of my BABY! Love to all!
